Lexington artist Jill Plaisted, a former president of
the Lexington Art League and Bachelor of Fine Arts
graduate from the University of Kentucky, is having
an exhibit that contains a selection of recently created
collagraph prints. The collagraph plates are made on
sealed paper or cardboard upon which various materials
are collaged and glued. The plates can also be
incised, before being inked, wiped and run through
the printing press to produce a print. Jill Plaisted is a founder member of the Bluegrass
Printmakers Cooperative which meets in the basement
of the LexArts Building on Mill Street.
